Copywriter/Graphic Designer

2 days per week

We are looking for a part-time Copywriter / Graphic Designer to assist the Marketing Manager. The primary focus of this role will be to help with the production of marketing communication materials such as catalogues, brochures, adverts, newsletters, packaging and exhibition graphics. Excellent spelling, grammar and attention to detail are essential.

• Job Responsibilities:
• Developing creative ideas and concepts, in partnership with the Marketing Manager
• Familiarisation with TMC's products
• Writing clear, persuasive, original copy
• Proof-reading copy to check spelling and grammar
• Amending, revising or redeveloping adverts or campaigns in response to feedback from the Marketing Manager
• Overseeing projects through the production stage to completion
• Working on several projects at once, sometimes under pressure and often to tight deadlines

• Essential Skills:
• Comprehensive knowledge of Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat using an AppleMac computer
• Excellent copywriting skills with meticulous attention to detail (grammar, spelling and layout)
• At least two years graphic design experience

• Desirable Experience:
• Marketing
• Exhibition planning
• Email marketing

Solesbridge Mill Water Gardens - Seasonal Help

We are looking for a Weekend Watergardens Assistant to join the permanent staff during the summer season. The position is available immediately and the hours will be 10-4pm every Sunday until September 2010. On the job training will be provided.

• Job Responsibilities:
• Cleaning, feeding and catching fish
• Assisting customers with their queries and purchases
• Assisting in Point of Sale displays
• Pricing both dry goods and plants
• General Watergarden maintenance and housekeeping

• We are looking for someone who has:
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in all weathers
• Retail experience is desirable
• Hands on/practical approach
• Aquatics and/or Watergardens knowledge an advantage
• Adaptability and multi-tasking

Fish-House Assistant

We are continually looking for motivated people to help in our Fish House. Working as part of a very busy team in our modern fish holding facility. Although usual working hours will be Monday to Friday, due to the nature of the business some flexibility in hours and some evening and weekend work will be required. No experience is necessary but you should have a keen interest in aquatics, and be enthusiastic, hard-working and eager to learn all aspects of fish husbandry.
