TMC System 2500/5000 Reservoir-Based Filtration Units

Our reservoir-based recirculation systems have proved very successful. Compared with an in-line series of filtration equipment, TMC reservoir-based units offer the following advantages:-

• A separate pump from the livestock pump (not included) circulates the water around the filtration unit. This allows an independent and rapid turnover of the system waste products.

• Maintenance of the filtration components can be carried out without any interruption to the livestock supply.

• Individual components can be removed and replaced easily.

• The filtration system can be set up and run independently allowing maturation of the biological filters, without connection to the livestock tanks.

• Systems come complete with all filtration pipework and are supplied ready to assemble with no glueing required.

• Systems are available in either freshwater or marine configurations and in a choice of two capacities.

• Filtration elements can be supplied in a choice of either clear acrylic or white food grade polypropylene.

These systems can also be supplied without a reservoir. Please ask for details.

System 2500 Marine Components

1. 680 litre Pallet Reservoir constructed of HDPE complete with GRP support grid.

2. RT 5000 Mechanical Bag Filter unit.

3. FST 5200 Fluidised Sand Filter complete with 15 kg of oolitic coral sand.

4. TBT 5200 Re-gassing/Trickling Bio-Tower Complete with 40 litres of 1" TMC Bio-Rings random fill media (210m2/m3) and five side wall flow-deflector rings.

5. PSW 5200 Protein Skimmer complete with venturi pump and internal and external foam cup wash kits. Incorporates a new design venturi which maximises the air/water ratio ensuring effective skimming.

6. TMC Commercial UV Steriliser P6-330W.

7. Filtration circulation pump - AV150.

Includes associated filtration pipework, valves and fittings. Supply pump, pipework to and drainage pipework from livestock tanks is not included.

System 5000 Marine Components

Compact Freshwater System Components

System 2500 Freshwater

Freshwater systems are identical to the marine systems but are supplied with an extra TBT 5200 Re-Gas/Bio-Tower in place of the PSW5200 Venturi Protein Skimmer and an AV75 filtration circulation pump.

System 5000 Freshwater

Freshwater systems are identical to the marine systems but are supplied with an extra TBT 5300 Re-Gas/Bio-Tower in place of the PSW5300 Venturi Protein Skimmer and an AV75 filtration circulation pump.

Recommended Accessories

• Fitted battery autowash timer valves for protein skimmer wash kits.

• Ozone generator with redox controller for use with venturi protein skimmer. Suggested unit: Sander model S500 ozone generator and appropriate redox controller.

• Ozone monitor (not shown).

• Fitted 3kW-6kW titanium heater with built-in digital thermostat.

• UV by-pass for easy lamp changes.

• Additional reservoir for extra capacity and flexibility (not shown).

• Return water supply pump.

• TMC system controller.

• Additional mechanical filtration (pressurised sand filter or cartridge filter). Can be installed on the return for extra biological filtration or mechanical water "polishing".

• AdaptaFlex Rubber Tank Gaskets to connect supply pumps and drainage pipework into reservoir tanks. Available in 1/2", 3/4", 1", 2", 3", and 4" sizes.

• Tank Connectors. Available in 1/2", 3/4", 1", 2", and 3" sizes.

• Replacement mechanical bag filters in 50, 100 or 200 micron sizes

• Ozone Saturator for freshwater systems.
