TMC Bio-Sand Filter

The TMC Bio-Sand Filter combines the features of a fluidised sand bed filter and a trickle tower in one versatile filtration system. Water enters the unit at the base and flows upwards through the fluidised bed filter in the centre of the unit. The water reaches the top and trickles down the outside section of the filter through the plastic bio-media, where extra biological filtration takes place in addition to gas exchange. Gas exchange can be enhanced by blowing air up the tower through the included air inlet at the base of the filter.

All units are complete with supply pipework including an anti-siphon valve, graded oolitic sand and TMC Bio-Rings, and ABS replaceable sand diffuser bowl. All TMC System Bio-Sand Filters feature our unique, flexible double O-ring inlet and outlet boss system for easy service and the simple removal and replacement of pipework and components.

NB. Un-pressurised unit - Process water leaves under gravity at bottom of unit and must be unrestricted
