TMC Compact Filtration Systems

Complete, compact filtration systems for freshwater and marine systems

Units are supplied fully assembled on a specially coated steel frame. Simply connect to a reservoir and to your supply pipework for your livestock tanks.

Filtration circuit is independent from livestock tank supply circuit ensuring fully operational bio-filtration at all times even during tank maintenance shutdown.

• Easily connected to modular aquarium systems and utilises existing low-level reservoir capacity.

Please Note: Mechanical filtration is not included in the main system and should be housed within your system reservoir. Bag filter boxes are available to fit most reservoirs and can be used with felt filter bags of 50, 100, 200 or 400 microns to trap uneaten food, algae and fish waste. These filter units should be installed underneath the drains from each set of livestock tanks. Mechanically clean water can then be pumped from the reservoir into the main filtration system.

Recommended Accessories

1. Fitted battery autowash timer valves for protein skimmer wash kits.

2. Ozone generator with redox controller for use with venturi protein skimmer. Suggested units: Sander Certizon 200 Ozone Generator & appropriate redox controller.

3. 250 litre reservoir.

4. Fitted 3kW titanium heater with built-in digital thermostat.

5. Mechanical bag filter box for undertank reservoirs.

6. Replacement mechanical bag filters in 50, 100, 200 or 400 micron sizes.

7. Adaptaflex rubber tank gaskets (see pipework section) to connect supply pumps and drainage pipework into reservoir tanks. Available in 1/2", 3/4", 1", 2", 3", 4" and 6" sizes.

8. TMC system controller.

To ensure system stability, it is recommended that your reservoir is at least 15% of the total system volume, and should be a maximum of 550mm high.

Compact System Marine Components

1. Combined Fluidised Sand Bed Filter and Aerobic Trickle Bio-Filter/Re-Gas Tower.

Contains 7kg of high surface area, graded oolitic sand and 20 litres of polypropylene bio-media for complete biological filtration and gas exchange. Air can be driven up the trickle tower to increase the level of gas exchange and biological activity.

2. Venturi Powered Protein Skimmer.

For the removal of fine solids, proteinaceous and other organic matter. The protein skimmer includes internal and external foam cup wash systems to prevent the build up of slime in the vital protein foam production area. Incoporates a new design venturi which maximises the air/water ratio ensuring effective skimming.

3. 150W Commercial UV Steriliser.

TMC's renowned UV sterilisation technology is featured on all units. The compact high efficiency steriliser ensures that the water returning to the livestock tanks contains drastically reduced levels of bacteria and other harmful pathogens, providing a sterile barrier between tanks. Enhances livestock's general health and helps to prevent disease spreading between livestock tanks.

4. Filtration Pump.

An ITT AG14 pump or equivalent (approx 240 l/min maximum) provides a reliable water supply to the filtration elements. Separate filtration and livestock tank supply pumps ensure that the filtration is unaffected by tank maintenance, ensuring fully operational bio-filtration at all times.

5. Livestock Tank Supply Pump.

The system is supplied complete with an ITT AG14 pump or equivalent, ready to supply water through the UV steriliser back to your livestock tanks.

Compact Freshwater System Components

As Compact Marine System but with a Chemical Media Reactor instead of the Protein Skimmer.

6. Chemical Media Reactor.

For use with activated carbon, zeolite or other chemical media. Media is held within an easy-to-remove bag ensuring quick and easy media changes with the minimum of filter down-time. Reactor will hold up to 10 litres of media (not included).
