Prosep Cartridge Filters

This range of filter cartridges is ideal for applications with lower flow rates that require more precise fine filtration. Suitable for hobbyist tanks, egg holding and larval rearing facilities.

The filter housings are available in either opaque polypropylene or see-through acrylic bodies. The acrylic body makes it easier to monitor the state of the cartridge filters and determine when a replacement cartridge is needed.

The disposable, precision wound polypropylene filters give nominal filtration to the desired micron rating, and offer a high dirt holding capacity. The pleated filter elements offer a higher surface area, and hence require less maintenance.

The refillable carbon filter can be used in-line to remove toxic substances, phenols and other organic substances.

Baker Hydro Cartridge Filters

Baker-Hydro cartridge filters offer filtration to 16 microns and are ideal for use as the main mechanical filtration system on tropical or larval fish set-ups.

They can also be used to "polish" the water after the main filtration before it returns to the livestock tank through the UV steriliser.

The pleated design of the cartridge offers a high surface area which means less maintenance/cleaning is required.

Chemical cleaning can extend the life of the cartridge.
