Since it was established, "TECO S.r.l." has developed new, alternative solutions for the many problems affecting traditional refrigeration products. Half a century of experience acquired in the field of industrial and retail refrigerators has allowed Teco to design a complete range of specialised, conceptually innovative products, which combine the latest technology and highest standards of quality. There are two new ranges available: The TR range consisting of 5 new chiller only units. The TC range which are combined heaters and chillers and also incorporate a UV-C Lamp. Features of the TR and TC ranges
• New modern, compact design. • Digital controller, accurate to 0.5°C. • Up to 30% increase in cooling efficiency, and considerable energy savings. • Highly efficient patented titanium heat exchanger. • Removable air filter for fast, easy maintenance. • Obstructed air filter alarm. • Inlet/outlet valves with fast, easy connections*. • "Silent" function for reduced running noise*. Additional features of the new TC units• Integrated heater. • Integrated UV-C lamp. • UV-C lamp exhaustion alarm*. * Excluding the TR30, TR60, TC30 and TC60 units.
The values above refer to an ambient temperature of 30°C (86°F) and to a heating load of 0.3 watt per litre for lights, pumps, etc.
![]() Installation Tip• To ensure optimum efficiency the units should be installed in a well-ventilated location to prevent heat build-up around the unit. For smaller units fitted to domestic aquariums, avoid enclosing the Teco unit in a sealed cabinet. Larger units should be situated outside or vented externally. • The model 30 and 60 should be connected to a flow switch to prevent the unit running dry. • Temperature changes should always be attained gradually and progressively to prevent thermal shock in livestock or biological filters. Recommended AccessoriesFor T10, T15 and T20 Units • Supply pumps - see the Rio range of submersible pumps. Match the recommended flow rate of 400 litres per hour against the expected head, e.g. to pump up to 4ft high, utilise the Rio1100PH. • Inlet and outlet hose - recommended hose size 16/22mm. For T30 and T60 Units • Water supply - normally derived from a tee off an existing supply pump. It is advised to insert a valve for regulating the flow rate and isolating the unit for maintenance purposes. • For connecting to flexible hose (see pipework technical details): 2 x 1" Socket Unions T/T. 2 x 1 BSP Multistage hosetails, suitable for 11/4", 1" and 3/4" hose. • For connecting to rigid pipe (see pipework technical details): 1 x 1" Socket Unions T/T. 1 x 1" Socket Unions P/P. 1" PVC Pipe & associated fittings. |
