25th April 2008 - TMC is Appointed European Distributor for CEDAPRAZ

TMC has just been appointed the European distributor for CEDAPRAZ, a major breakthrough in fish worming medication.

CEDAPRAZ is the first, highly soluble and water dispersible treatment that will rid fish of skin and gill flukes and all tapeworms. It is simple to use and very effective as well as being extremely safe, which means it will not harm pond life or bio-filters.

1st April 2008 - TMC Launch AquaRay Solid State Lighting

AquaRay Solid State Lighting Systems are based on the latest and most powerful generation of PowerLEDs. These PowerLEDs are each capable of a light output more than 100x that of the smaller traditional LEDs that are still most commonly used in familiar consumer products such as torches, mini-lamps and decorative lights.

The first product in the AquaRay range to be launched by TMC is a compact, 12W lighting strip called the AquaBeam 500, an affordable, modular design which gives the aquarist the flexibility to add on modules as required. The AquaBeam 500 delivers a directed, or "point" source of light, and the passage of this light through water is comparable with what would be seen in nature under direct sunlight and this produces a more natural and eye-catching 'shimmering' effect in the aquarium. Until now, this effect could only be replicated with very powerful (and expensive) light sources such as metal halides.

The AquaBeam 500 is available in three versions:- Single, Duo Twin (2 x same colour lights) and Duo Combo (2 x different colour lights).

Singles and Duo Twins are available in tropical white, full spectrum, natural daylight, marine white, reef white, marine blue and reef blue.

The Duo Combo is available in tropical white/marine white and marine white/reef blue.

1st April 2008 - TMC Launches New "Gamma Slice" Frozen Food Bulk Packs

Gamma Food is Tropical Marine Centre's well-established, quality range of frozen fish food and the company has just launched its new 250g flat packs under the "Gamma Slice" brand name.

Gamma is the only food used by Tropical Marine Centre at its three UK fish-holding facilities and it contains only the highest quality ingredients. What sets it apart from other frozen food is that, after it is rapidly packed, sealed and frozen, the food is then Gamma irradiated. This completely eliminates any risk of introducing harmful parasites or bacteria into your aquarium, and also means that the food is completely safe to store in your freezer.

Apart from being 100% safe and using only 100% natural products the new Gamma Slice packs are available with a wide variety of ingredients: - Mini Bloodworm, Daphnia, Brineshrimp, Mysis Shrimp, Krill Pacifica, Brineshrimp + Spirulina, Brineshrimp + Omega-3, Brineshrimp + Garlic, Finely Chopped Prawn, Rotifers, Cyclops, Whole Fish, Whole Mussel and Whole Cockle.

22nd December 2007 - Gamma Nutraplus Liquid Feed Now Available

Gamma Nutraplus is a range of unique microalgae liquid concentrated fish feed containing high natural levels of carotenes, minerals, vitamins and fatty acids. The feed is formulated specifically for filter feeders in mixed community aquariums (reef-only & complete varieties available). They include a pipette for clean and easy feeding and can be stored for up to 3 months in a refrigerator after opening.

22nd December 2007 - TMC Introduce the V² Refractometer

The V² Refractometer is an easy to use precision instrument for measuring salinity incorporating automatic temperature adjustment, a high resolution dual scale (SG & PPT), simple focus adjustment and a wipe-clean lens. Application is simple using the pipette provided. Calibration is also easily achieved with the included screwdriver.

21st December 2006 - TMC launch V2React Calcium Reactors

V2React Calcium Reactors are high performance, quality calcium reactors incorporating a uniques water intake system with integral pump, integral bubble counter, pH probe holder and CO2 pressure regulator.

5th October 2006 - Award-winning V2Skim

After only a few months on the market, the V2Skim Protein Skimmer range has just been voted Best Marine Product 2006 by the readers of Practical Fishkeeping magazine!  This is a great achievement and really underlines the quality and reliability of these skimmers.

Also, research commissioned by PFK and carried out by an independent research agency showed that 100% of people who had bought a V2Skim would buy the same brand again!

5th October 2006 - TMC Hatchery Gains MAC Approval

In 2003 TMC became one of the first companies in Europe to be MAC certified, underlining the company's excellence in the transport, handling and husbandry of marine fish.

The TMC Hatchery has also just  achieved MAC Certified Culturist status - the first commercial hatchery in the World to do so. We continue to work closely with our suppliers to promote MAC certification, and increase the supply of MAC certified animals into the UK.

5th October 2006 - All V2ecton Sizes Now Available!

The V2ecton UV Steriliser is now available in all four sizes:-

V2ecton 200 for aquariums up to approx 200 litres/50 imp. gall, V2ecton 300 for aquariums up to approx 300 litres/66 imp. gall, V2ecton 400 for aquariums up to approx 400 litres/90 imp. gall, V2ecton 600 for aquariums up to approx 600 litres/130 imp. gall

7th June 2006 - New Range of Teco Aquarium Conditioners Available from TMC

Teco Aquarium Chillers/Conditioners comprise a range of 5 new chiller only units (TR range) and 5 new combined heater chillers with an integrated UV-C lamp (TC range).

All units feature a new, modern, compact design, a more efficient patented titanium heat exchanger (producing substantial energy savings), a digital controller with 0.5°C resolution and a removable filter for fast, easy maintenance.
